The Shakespeare Company is a company that produces tackles and other fishing equipments and has been around for more than 110 years now. It is one of the leading manufacturers of tackles and one of the most recognized names in the tackle industry up to now. Shakespeare fishing tackle is very famous among fishing aficionados and antique fishing gear collectors.
William Shakespeare Jr. founded a company in 1897 that produces high-quality and superior tackles because of his interest in creating a fishing gear that would re-wind the fishing line on the spool evenly. During this time, the name of the company was The William Shakespeare Jr. Company and was only changed to The Shakespeare Company in 1915.
